⚠️ Limitations

While PTFE resists most chemicals, it has some limitations:

  • Metales alcalinos fundidos (sodium, potassium)
  • Fluorine gas at high temperatures
  • Some fluorinated solvents
  • Cold flow under load (creep)
  • Low wear resistance (soft material)
  • Alto cost compared to alternatives
