Compatibility Rating
Why is SS 316 rated this way to Sodium Iodide?
SS 316 has limited resistance to Sodium Iodide. Short-term exposure may be acceptable, but prolonged contact is not recommended.
⚠️ When NOT to use SS 316
Avoid using Stainless Steel 316 with hydrochloric acid, hot sulfuric acid, and reducing environments. Best general-purpose stainless steel for chemical exposure.
