Not Recommended For

SS 316 may degrade when exposed to:

  • Hydrochloric acid (concentrated)
  • Hot concentrated sulfuric acid
  • Ferric chloride
  • Reducing conditions in strong chloride solutions

Tip: For the most aggressive acids, consider PTFE or PVDF linings over stainless steel.
