Compatibility Rating
Why is HDPE resistant to Silver Nitrate?
HDPE shows excellent resistance to Silver Nitrate due to its tightly packed molecular structure and chemical inertness to most acids, bases, and salts.
⚠️ When NOT to use HDPE
Avoid using High-Density Polyethylene with strong oxidizing acids (nitric, chromic), chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Maximum service temperature is around 80°C.
