PVC Rigid Properties

Full Name Unplasticized PVC (uPVC)
Max Temperature 60°C (140°F)
Density 1.30–1.45 g/cm³
Key Property Very cost-effective

Common Applications

Piping

Chemical waste piping, drainage systems

Tanks

Chemical storage tanks for mild chemicals

Fume Hoods

Laboratory fume extraction ductwork

Not Recommended For

PVC Rigid may degrade when exposed to:

  • Ketones and esters
  • Chlorinated solvents
  • Aromatic hydrocarbons
  • Temperatures above 60°C

Tip: PVC has a low temperature limit. For higher temperatures, use PP, HDPE, or PVDF.
